The CD player spins vertically to save space, and this system measures just 3.54 inches deep. It also includes a digital AM/FM tuner and two detachable 5-watt speakers that can mount individually or stay attached to the entire unit. In addition to standard audio CDs, the MCM275 is also compatible with CD-R/RW discs burned with your favorite mixes, as well as discs burned with MP3 and WMA digital audio files. - Good system overall, but one annoying issue
I bought this as a gift for my daughter.She likes to listen to music when she goes to bed.Unfortunately, the lowest volume setting on this system is actually quite loud.I wish the volume could go a little lower so the sound would be more soothing than rocking.

- Almost perfect except for quirky USB file handling
I purchased this for my wife's new greenhouse and the flat wall-mountable form factor was perfect. She listens to audio books from the public library so MP3 CD capability was important. The best feature is the USB flash capability so she doesn't have to deal with music CDs laying around where they might get dirty. Converting to MP3s on a 4GB flash drive provides about the equivalent of a 50-CD carousel changer. Sound quality and volume are more than adequate for her purposes.

- My dad loves it!!
This was a birthday gift for my dad, who is in a nursing home. He loves music and sings most of the time. When in his room, unless the tv is on, it is very quiet. He loves his radio/cd player and can now listen to a station that plays music from the 20's through the 70's. He also has his cd's there now to listen to as well. It is mounted on the wall, taking much less of the small space in his room.

Got this as gift for my daughter-hoping she can use it with her ipod, but only mp3's can be attached. So, I put it in living room in a shelf, but it needs more head room as the cd slides up to open.didn't do all the homework:D

We are very happy with this system so far.The MP3 functionality worked perfectly the first time with both CD's and a flash drive.The only major drawback is that the "random" function doesn't seem to work in MP3 mode, so we always have to listen to the songs in the same order.Other than that, the system looks and sounds great.
