I MADE SOME CHINESE JOOK (PORRIDGE) AND IT CAME OUT PERFECT.I USED THE SLOW COOKER TO COOK SOME SPARE RIBS WITH BLACK BEAN SAUCE AND IT CAME OUT TENDER AND PERFECT.THIS COOKER COOKS BETTER THAN ME AND THINKS BETTER THAN ME...WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE.VERY HIGH TECH!!

Oatmeal disaster--hard to cleanIt works well for rice, but don't try to cook oatmeal with this thing, despite the fact that it has a "Porridge" setting. Oatmeal goo will start bubbling out of the top and then you will spend a long time trying to clean up because oatmeal paste will have oozed into every nook and cranny of the cooker lid. You will not be able to take off the hinged top to clean it.
In retrospect, we would have been better off with a lower-tech alternative.

Love it!I've had a large Zojirushi rice cooker for years.I wanted something with a smaller footprint, but without losing the fuzzy-logic feature of the Zojirushi. This is it!It is just as good as my Zojirushi, and much smaller (yet, it cooks up nearly as much rice!).I was also interested in this for its slow cooker abilities, because my slow cooker is large and sometimes I'd like to use a smaller one.I haven't yet tried this as a slow cooker, but everything works so well, I feel sure that I'll like ...

Unbelievable!Had No Idea How Much I'd Use & Love This!I read an NYTimes article about rice cookers around the same time I was starting a diet which recommended whole grains and steal cut oatmeal... so I read obsessively about all the different kinds of rice cookers, the reviews etc., and settled on this one based on combination of features and price.
Yes, $132 isn't cheap, but OMG!What a FANTASTIC appliance!Well-deigned, very well-built (nothing cheap feeling) and it does EXACTLY what it says really, really well.So far I've made oatmeal ...

Love this rice cookerThis cooker replaced the National fuzzy logic that I had used at least 3-4 times a week for 5 years. With all the new rice cookers on the market it was hard to find one that had the features that I wanted, without a bunch that I didn't need.I really don't need to bake a cake in my rice cooker!!What I use the most are the slow cooker options and the rice options.I mostly make short grain brown rice and this model cooks it much faster than my old National.I also loved that this cooker came with ...
