I have found that these shrink a bit less than what Levi's says. In the waist, they shrink about an inch as opposed to the tho inches that Levi's says. The leg shrinks about 2 3/4 inches, rather than 4. So don't buy them too oversized, unless you are going to be washing many times in hot water and a hot drier. Levis 501 STF jeans are as reliably close to the ones I bought 30 years ago as possible given the changes in manufacturing, etc over the years.Nothing stays the same,but some things are similar enough.If you are looking for this type of jean, this product will suffice.

The jeans are perfect, and I hate to rate them low, but they were supplied by the incompetent Amazon.com. I guess they have gotten too big to worry about customer service. I paid for next day shipping, and Amazon doesn't deliver to the shipper until the day it is supposed to arrive.If they can't handle the volume then they should either hire more peopleor not be in business, but then the useless CEO's won't get thei millions for doing nothing!! I almost NEVER return merchandise and although I ordered black and received blue, would have kept them anyway but these jeans arrived WITHOUT A ZIPPER and buttons sewn where the fly should be! The description says "Levi's Men's 501 Shrink To Fit Jean" and nowhere does it say these are irregulars without a zipper.What a waste of my time.I also ordered Wrangler Men's Rugged Wear Jean, Relaxed Fit, Vintage Indigo Denim and they're fantastic, at $10.00 less!
